We are hiring a Staff Accountant to start at 20-30 hours/week with potential to move to a full-time position. This role reports to our CEO and will assume responsibility for all facets of the accounting function. A collaborator - this role supports various functions within the company so successful candidates will be organized, pay attention to details, have excellent communication skills and enjoy working with other disciplines and personalities to ensure the financial operations run smoothly.

Be responsible for the entire accounting function including client invoicing/receivables, payables, commissions calculations, expense management and payroll oversight
Update monthly financial forecasts
Lead the ongoing monthly close process, ensure accounts are fully reconciled and revenue and expenses are properly recognized
Manage the fiscal year-end close process and work with outside accounting firm
Lead the annual budgeting process
Maintain limited quarterly reporting for various out-of-state taxes
Prepare all Financial Reporting Packages and assist in presentations as needed
Establish, monitor and enforce internal controls
Communicate any issues relating to the financial close or monthly financial deliverables impacting other department/functions
Create ad hoc reports as requested
Other duties as assigned
A Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent
Minimum of 3-7 years of relevant accounting experience
Have experience with QuickBooks Online/similar software
Strong knowledge of MS Excel
Experience with a high-growth technology company
Experience with payroll
Exposure to financial reporting
